A darling older woman in my church has agreed to let me tell her lovely miracle for the world to see. Enjoy!
Cherie is one of the strongest women I know. She's stubborn and determined to do everything herself, but she has the biggest Southern heart around. Sadly, she has congestive heart failure, serious migraines, and a host of other medical problems. Through a recent tragedy, her bank account was wiped clean and life has seemed pretty insurmountable. She spent 9 straight days without electricity because she didn't have the money to pay for it. It was during that time, that our darling friend asked us to help her get a blessing. A couple days later we went over to her home with two priesthood holders ready to give her a blessing. With that added measure of the spirit left with her, miracles began happening. In the days following, she was able to have her electricity turned back on, she was able to forget herself for a little bit and serve others by sharing what little she had left with her neighbors, and two kind men fixed her flat tire for her.
All in all, these answers to prayer were simple, but they were everything Cherie needed to be reminded that God is always aware of each and every one of us.
There can be miracles when you believe in God.
